The Australian Ukrainian community traces its foundation towards the arrival of post-World War 2 refugees from war torn European countries. These refugees had been termed Displaced individuals and began showing up in 1948. Ahead of 1948 only a few had appeared, & most of these are not nationwide mindful people.
