With the new year, trying to make yourself look better sounds like such a struggle but you don’t need to move mountains to get great skin. If you want to make your skin supple, here are some ways to incorporate in your day to day routine:

  • What you eat determines how you look. Following the mantra of ‘you are what you eat’, you should improve your food selection. Fruits and vegetables in the color range of orange, green and blue can aid in keeping your skin supple. Food that are high in good fat are also a great addition to your meals. These can be salmon for your choice of protein and even walnuts as snacks. Aside from omega 3 rich food, avocados are also a great source of good fat. 
  • Drink more water! You need to keep your body well hydrated to maintain supple skin. If you don’t drink enough water, you can also get dry skin which can cause a lot of trouble in the long run. Make sure to drink at least eight glasses of water a day to keep your body well-hydrated.
  • Make sure to exfoliate at least once every two weeks. Exfoliation gets rid of old dry skin and any impurities that has clung to it. This gives way to younger skin which is also easier to take care. Avoid exfoliating too much as this can leave your skin very sensitive and more susceptible to getting wounded. You can make use of natural exfoliators such as brown sugar and oatmeal for a softer approach in exfoliating.
  • Exercise when you can to get a healthy body. Exercise helps circulation which also means the delivery of nutrients within your body. By improving the circulation, you can also have great supple skin.
