Our world is getting hotter and hotter each day. While we always want to get the warmer days to counter the numerous months on our calendar sporting an all-time low on the climate, it’s actually not healthy to be soaking a lot of the sun when you can. – If you’re going on a trip to the beach, you’re probably not going to skimp out on getting as much of the sun while you’re at it. For cases like this, you’d want to lather yourself in sun screen. One important thing to remember is sunscreen takes at least 30 minutes to sink in thus you’ll want to wait it out before diving into the cool waters. Also, much like lotion, sunscreen can be sweated out or washed off by water; thus, you’ll want to reapply it. Every two to three hours should be an ideal time for applying sunscreen.

– If you’re a big fan when it comes to tanning, you’ll be devastated to know that sunbathing and using tanning beds are one of the easiest tickets to getting skin cancer. These two methods rely on UV rays thus you’re exposing yourself to a lot of concentrated UV rays. One way to get a tan without having to raise the chances of skin cancer is using self tanners. Self tanners are topical application for tanning, much like how you use lotion to moisturize your skin.

With these tips in mind, lowering the chances of getting melanoma or skin cancer is going to be easier than you’d think.
